Remote content - Reducing latency setup

Hello Team,

I have a working setup of USP Origin VOD that use remote storage for my MP4 files (into an Amazon S3 bucket).
In order to get this working, I have used your guide : Remote Storage

To summarize the main steps I’ve did :
1) Generate the master.ism file from remote content in S3 :
mp4split -o ~/master.ismhttp://s3-eu-central-1.amazonaws.com//vod/video.mp4...

2) Copy of the .ism file to the S3 :
aws s3 c/p ~/master.ism s3:///vod/ --grants read=uri=http://acs.amazonaws.com/groups/global/AllUsers

3) Setup of IsmProxyPass in the Apache configuration of USP Origin :

IsmProxyPasshttp://s3-eu-central-1.amazonaws.com//...

4) Stream the content in HLS from the URL :http:///vod/master.ism/.m3u8

Now I would like to optimize this setup and reduce the latency of the response.
I saw your dedicated guide : Remote Storage Reducing Latency
and enabled the required modules for Apache.

However it’s not very clear what to do next. Should I :
- generate local .ismv files from the remote MP4 on S3 ?
- then create index MP4 using « --use_dref » option from the .ismv ?
- finally create a new manifest from the index MP4 and copy it to S3 ?

Thank you for the attention,
Marco
