mpd.minimum_fragment_length parameter

I have a mp4 which GOP is 4 sec.
When I do "mp4split -mpd.minimum_fragment_length=8" then dashif player plays through to the end.
When I do "mp4split -mpd.minimum_fragment_length=4" then dashif player stops at some point(always same point).

I have another mp4 which GOP is 2 sec.
When I do "mp4split -mpd.minimum_fragment_length=4" then dashif player plays through to the end.

Is there any limitation of mpd.minimum_fragment_length parameter ?

Re: mpd.minimum_fragment_length parameter

Hi,

You should not use the option, as it triggers SegmentNumber, not SegmentTimeline.

Why are you trying to use the option?

We have a LIVE system which use 4sec segment file of SmoothStreaming. We want to make
VOD same duration of segment.

I also test 4sec-GOP-mp4 without this option, DASHIF player stops at some point.
