Hi,

I need to understand how Last-Modified works in servers that have Unified Streaming plugin. We are making changes to our mp4s so we need to clear CDN's cache for that contents. In the middle we have the mediaservers with the unified streaming plugin. Best solution for us is to put 5 minutes caching in the CDN, so we don't have to manually purge every chunk and manifest. After 5 minutes if anyone requests that same url the CDN will go to the origin with a HEAD issuing an if-modified-since, if the manifest/chunk changed it will send a get, if it didn't change it will serve the content from the CDN. We did that and it appears that with every HEAD, unified streaming plugin in the mediaserver goes to the mp4 and transmuxes it again. Is it like that how it works?

Regards,
